Week one in Berlin

Everything here takes three times as long as I expect, including things I thought I'd already accounted for. Registering an address needs an appointment. The appointment needs a form I can't read yet. The form needs a dictionary open in another tab.

None of this is a complaint exactly. I asked for this. I just didn't fully believe, until this week, how much "starting over" actually means starting over.

Small win: found a bakery two minutes from the flat and successfully ordered in German on the third try.
